Procurement Unit was established in 2002 to provide an efficient and effective professional purchasing services which include guidance support and advice pertaining to purchasing matters to all members of the University.

Our office is situated at the level 3, Universiti Tenaga Nasional Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang 

Procurement Unit is responsible for the procurement activities of the University. We ensure that all procurement transactions comply with the current policies and procedures as laid out by Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

 

Vision: 
To ensure all procurement activities are managed efficiently in order to fulfil customer's requirements.

Mission:
To ensure that all of UNITEN's requirements are procured at a competitive price, quality and transparency as well as on a timely basis.

Functions

The functions of the Procurement Unit are as follows:

  • Implement Procurement Policy and guidelines for the university. Enforce the policies and procedures approved by the university pertaining to procurement of materials, work and services.

  • Negotiate price with bidders to obtain the best prices, product and services for the university
  • Provide advice and assistance on all matters pertaining to procurement activities
