The story of UNITEN's branch campus began on 13 february 2001. With the rapid growth of its main campus, Universiti Tenaga Nasional has formed a branch campus in Bandar Muadzam Shah, located at the south-eastern part of the state of Pahang, the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia. Officially launched by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad on the 4th of May 2001, it was proclaimed as Kampus Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (KSHAS) by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang

Following the concept of "Town In University" and "University In Town", Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus has the potential to be a catalyst towards the advancement of intellectual resources in accordance with the economic development of Bandar Muadzam Shah in Rompin District and the East coast of Peninsular Malaysia in general.

Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus offers Bachelor, Diploma and Foundation programs in Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneur Development, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and International Business Studies under the College of Business Administration.

Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus functions as a bridge to connect its students and the dwellers of Bandar Muadzam Shah. It also serves as a medium of community, economic and intellectual development for Bandar Muadzam Shah and the surrounding areas.
