Master of Science in Accounting (By Research) is a programme designed for professional and academics seeking career advancement in accounting, finance, and other business-related areas.
The programme compromises taught courses and a thesis. Students are required to produce an accounting related thesis that demonstrates students understanding on the theoretical foundations, ethical judgements, and critical and strategic thinking ability of emerging accounting issues.

Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, as accepted by the UNITEN Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the UNITEN; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Accounting field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to:

A thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the UNITEN to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their minimum of working experience; OR
- Five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; OR

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field below a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Accounting field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the UNITEN to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience in the Accounting or related fields; OR

- A relevant professional accounting qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree as accepted by the UNITEN Senate; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement on point i or ii.
