Prof. Ir. Dr. Tuan Ab Rashid is the Director of the Institute of Energy Policy & Research  at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He has 30 years working experience in engineering practices, teaching and management including as Planning Engineer, Construction Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Power System Automation & Communication Engineer, Control Engineer, Electricity Tariff Formulation, TNB Billing System Development, Laboratory Manager, Deputy Dean, University representative for IP Protection at MyIPO and Engineering & Management Consultant. In the last 10 years, his focus was in consultancy services and research in the area of the power system asset management, random event analytic and its economic impact.

 

Tan Kwe Lu is currently Principal Lecturer and Head of Energy Economics at the Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe), Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics from The University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In 1986, he obtained Master of Arts in Economics from the same university. In 2010, he qualified as a Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and registered as a full member of Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC). In the same year, he was also certified as a Syariah RFP with MFPC. He had published numerous papers on the influence of antecedent variables on entrepreneurship. Currently, he is actively involved in consultancy projects. One of the most recently completed projects is The Feasibility Study on the Formation of Electrical Maintenance Services Company.

 

Wan Zaini bin Zakaria is currently a Principal Lecturer and Head of Energy Policy at the Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe), Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics from Northern Illinois University, United States of America in 1983 and Master of Arts in Economics from the same university in 1985. Prior to joining UNITEN in 1997, he was lecturing at UiTM since 1990. He has held various positions in UNITEN among them as the Head of Economics and Entrepreneur Development Department, College of Business Management and Accounting (COBA) from 2002 to 2007, Deputy Dean of Academics, Research and Post-Graduate, COBA (2008-2011) and Senior Manager of Yayasan Canselor UNITEN (July 2011 - June 2014).  He's actively involved with the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) been appointed as a committee member of the MFPC membership committee for the period 2013-2015. His research interests include the field of Economics, Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He has presented papers in conferences and seminars in the above fields such as R&D, Innovation and Performance in Manufacturing Industries: Micro evidence for Malaysia and received research grant on a project titled The Impact of University Existence to the Economic Development of a Local Area.

Prof. Hussain Ali Bekhet is a Professor in Quantitative Analysis in Applied Economics and he is currently teaching at the Graduate Business School, College of Graduate Studies of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia. He received his PhD in Input-Output Methods from the University of Keele, England, UK, in 1991. He received his MSc from the Baghdad University and a BSc from the University of the Basra, Iraq. He taught at Baghdad University from April 1991 to May 2003, Al-Zyatoonh University, Jordan, from September 2003 to December 2007 and joined UNITEN in July 2008 up to date. He has already published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed articles and five textbooks.

 

Prof. T.M. Indra. Mahlia holds the Ir. from Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia and an M.Eng.Sc and PhD from University of Malaya, Malaysia. Currently, he is working as a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. His main interests are energy & environment and thermodynamics. He secured research grant for more than USD 4 million and published about more than 250 articles in his research area.

Ms Tahira Yasmin is currently PhD student in Graduate Business School. She is working in Input-output Analysis in Malaysian economy. She worked as a senior lecturer in Meridians College Pakistan. She has obtained her MBA from UNITEN and MA Economics from Punjab University. She has more than 12 years academic experience. She has mainly interests in Micro, Macro, Energy Economics and Environmental Economics.
