Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) officially welcomed new students for the June 2026 intake during its Oath-Taking Ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey filled with opportunities for growth, discovery and achievement.
Held on 6 June 2026 as part of the UNITEN Week of Welcome (UNITEN WOW), the ceremony brought together new students, university leaders, and members of the UNITEN community in a symbolic event that signified the students’ commitment to the values and principles upheld by the university.
The oath was administered in the presence of UNITEN Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari, who welcomed the students and encouraged them to embrace the transformative experience of university life with confidence, resilience and purpose.
The ceremony served as a significant milestone for the new students as they formally pledged to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, professionalism, and leadership throughout their academic journey at UNITEN.
In his address, Prof. Khairul highlighted the importance of nurturing not only academic excellence but also character, innovation, and lifelong learning. He encouraged students to make full use of the opportunities available at UNITEN to develop their talents, broaden their perspectives and contribute meaningfully to society.
Students were also reminded that university life extends beyond the classroom.
