Diploma in Accountancy 


A student who has completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), O-Level, IGCSE, UEC, or other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia. Keen interest in Accounting field of study. May complete education at Diploma level or may pursue any of these degree programmes with credit transfers:

  • Bachelor of Accounting (Hons)
  • Bachelor of Finance (Hons)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Marketing / Human Resource / Entrepreneurship & Venture Management
  • Bachelor of International Business (Hons)

This syllabus has been designed to meet the requirements of professional bodies and industries while giving students the competitive edge. Emphasis is on the application of knowledge through teamwork, case studies, simulations and real life projects.


The Department of Foundation and Diploma Studies (COBA-FDS) offers Diploma in Accounting. The courses offered are being specifically structured to equip students with a strong foundation in Basic Accounting, Basic Business Administration, Basic Finance as well as other related courses before they embark on the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons), Bachelor in Business Administration programmes such as BBA (Hons) in Human Resource Management/Marketing/Entrepreneurship & Venture Management/International Business  and the Bachelor of Finance (Hons) programme.

90 credit hours of subjects are being taught in seven semesters. This Diploma in Accounting programme can be completed in 2 ¼ years.

  • Full Registration + Miscellaneous Fee: RM1,348 one-time payment
  • Medical Insurance: RM88/year

  • Monthly Fee for Accommodation: Starting from RM270/month.

Fees for International Students:
Tuition Fees: USD7,950 (RM31,800) per programme.
Other Fees:

  • VISA & Application Fee: USD787.50 (RM3,150) one-time payment
  • Full Registration + Miscellaneous Fee: USD1,650 (RM6,600) one-time payment
  • Medical Insurance: USD37.50 (RM150)/year
  • Deposit for Accommodation: USD62.50 (RM250) one-time deposit payment
  • Monthly Fee for Accommodation: Starting from USD67.50 (RM270)/month.

and if the international student (for Diploma) does not fulfill the English language requirement such as minimum score for IELTS or TOEFL, there will be additional fees of:

  • Intensive English Programme (IEP) : USD1,400 (RM5,600)/semester.

  • pay full in advance, or
  • by monthly installments, or
  • pay full 2 weeks before the semester's final examination.

No additional English requirement for this programme.

For International Students:

International students are required to have English one of the proficiency score stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Diploma students who do not fulfill this English requirement are required to sit for the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the requirement below before starting their Diploma programme.

  • IELTS – International English Language Testing System
    Achieve 5.5

  • TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
