The Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) programme prepares its graduates for a wide variety of career path. This programme involves undertaking specialized advanced research in a chosen traditional engineering discipline, namely, mechanical, electrical power, civil and electronics and communication engineering based on the student’s academic qualification. On completion of the programme, students have necessary skills for both research and publishing skills.

Traditionally, the academic world is the destination of a PhD holder. However, a PhD holder has also a much higher chance of obtaining a high-ranking job in an organization or a company. Our graduates have found employment in the academic sectors, as lecturers and professors, as well as, advancing their career in research institutions, organizations and companies, as research engineers, consulting engineer, manager, as well as, heading the organization.
