Diploma in Electrical Engineering
This programme equips students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in electrical systems, power generation, and electronics, preparing them for professional careers or further studies in the electrical engineering field.

About Programme

The Diploma in Electrical Engineering programme is designed to prepare you for professional career and to further your study to bachelor degree in the related engineering field. We adopt comprehensive and innovative content and teaching techniques, which are designed towards expanding the frontiers of learning and inculcating a probing mind.

The programme is designed to develop multi-skilled graduates with strong technical knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and professional competencies. The curriculum integrates project work, laboratory experiments, and practical training, and includes a balanced mix of general subjects and core electrical engineering courses to ensure a solid academic and technical foundation.

92 credit hours of subjects are being taught in seven semesters. This Diploma in Electrical Engineering programme can be completed in two and a half years.

PO1	Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in DK1 to DK4 respectively to wide practical procedures and practices
PO2	Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using codified methods of analysis specific to their field of activity
PO3	Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety as well as cultural, societal, and environmental considerations as required
PO4	Conduct investigations of well-defined problems; locate and search relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements
PO5	Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing, engineering, and IT tools to well-defined engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations
