UNITEN TUITION FEE DISCOUNT FOR TNB EMPLOYEES & DEPENDENTS

This tuition fee discount, introduced by UNITEN Management, aims to support Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) employees, employees of its 100% owned subsidiaries, and their families in pursuing higher education at UNITEN. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing financial assistance for academic advancement and fostering lifelong learning within the TNB community.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR TUITION FEE DISCOUNTS

The following groups are eligible for the tuition fee discount:

🔹 TNB employees

🔹 Children of TNB employees

🔹 Employees of subsidiaries that are 100% owned by TNB

🔹 Children of employees of subsidiaries that are 100% owned by TNB

🔹 Active service: The discount is open to all TNB-appointed employees who are currently in service.

🔹 Expatriates: Employees appointed under the Expatriate Officer (Pegawai Dagang) terms are eligible to apply.

🔹 Exclusive for TNB employees: The discount applies to TNB employees and their dependents only.

🔹 One discount per couple: If both spouses are UNITEN or TNB employees, only one of them is eligible to apply.

🔹 Limit per family: Discounts are limited to a maximum of three (3) children per family during the employee’s service period.

 

🔹 Active enrollment: Students must be actively enrolled in a program of study.

🔹 First-time application: Applications must be submitted during the first semester of study to qualify for discounts in subsequent semesters.

🔹 Program levels: Students enrolled in Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Master's, and Doctoral programs are eligible to apply.

🔹 Exclusion from other financial aid: Students receiving scholarships or convertible loans (e.g., YCU, MARA, JPA, Yayasan Tenaga Nasional) are not eligible, except for PTPTN recipients

 

Tuition fee discounts will be granted to TNB employees for the normal study duration as outlined in UNITEN’s Academic Regulations, as per the following schedule:

🔹 Tuition fees only: The discount applies exclusively to tuition fees and does not cover other charges.

🔹 No discount for repeat subjects: Discounts will not be provided for repeated subjects.

🔹 Automatic alumni discount: If a TNB employee is a UNITEN alumnus, the Alumni Discount will be automatically applied based on UNITEN's records. However, this discount will be discontinued if the student receives a scholarship or other educational loans.
