New Collaborative Opportunities for UNITEN with Kiel University Germany

16 February 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) recently welcomed Professor Dr. Nadia M. L. Tan from Kiel University, Germany, for a high-level academic engagement aimed at fostering global research collaborations.

The discussions, led by university representatives, focused on several key areas of cooperation. These included the pursuit of joint research grants through European–ASEAN funding opportunities, collaborative publications, and structured exchange programmes for both postgraduate students and academic staff.

A primary objective of the engagement was to establish a robust research network centred on sustainable energy and electromobility. This initiative reflects UNITEN’s ongoing commitment to advancing global partnerships and driving impactful research that addresses the challenges of the energy transition. Both institutions expressed a shared vision to nurture international talent and deliver innovative technological solutions through this burgeoning partnership.
