Diploma in Computer Science
This programme provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in computing, programming, and software development, preparing them for careers in IT or further studies in computer science.

About Programme

The Department of Foundation and Diploma Studies (CCI-FDS) offers Diploma in Computer Science (DCS), Foundation in Computer Science (FCS), and Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) programmes. The department is equipped with sufficient computer laboratories. Students have access to well-equipped computer laboratories

The Diploma in Computer Science prepares students for careers in the technology industry or further studies at the degree level. The curriculum covers key subjects such as Data Communication and Computer Networks, Statistics for Computer Science, UX Design, and Fundamentals of Data Science. Students also complete a Final Year Project under lecturer supervision and gain practical experience through the Industrial Training programme.

A total of 90 credit hours are delivered over seven semesters. This Diploma in Computer Science programme can be completed within 2½ years.
