Diploma in Renewable Energy Technologies
This programme equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge in renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and bioenergy technologies. Graduates gain the skills to support sustainable energy solutions and pursue careers in the growing green energy sector.
   

 

About Programme

The DRET programme offers a well-rounded curriculum that combines technical knowledge with practical training. Students will explore key areas such as renewable energy systems, solar PV technologies, and electrical applications through hands-on laboratory work and structured industry exposure. The programme includes interactive learning sessions, supervised labs, and Final Year Project (FYP) focused on solving real industry challenges. Through Industrial Training and Work-Based Learning (WBL), students gain direct experience in professional environments—enhancing their technical competencies, building industry networks, and increasing their readiness for employment in the renewable energy sector.

The programme consists of 90 credit hours of subjects, which can be completed in 2 ½ years

Entry Requirement

For Malaysian Student

Applicants must meet one of the following

✔️ Certificate Level 3 SKM or equivalent in the same field

✔️Pass SPM or equivalent with min credits (grade C) in at least three (3) subjects, or

✔️ Pass SPMV or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) credits.
