This foundational course introduces Hanyu Pinyin, the official Romanisation system for Standard Chinese pronunciation. Over five structured sessions, learners will master the sounds, tones, and spelling rules of Mandarin using Pinyin. Through guided practice, listening exercises, and speaking drills, participants will develop accurate pronunciation skills and confidence in reading and writing Pinyin. This workshop is ideal for anyone beginning their Mandarin learning journey or looking to strengthen their pronunciation foundation.

i. Recognise and pronounce consonants, vowels and tones in Hanyu Pinyin.

ii. Spell and read basic Mandarin words correctly using the Pinyin system.
