Students are trained to protect systems against evolving cyber threats, preparing them for roles as security analysts, penetration testers, and cybersecurity professionals in various industries.   

About Programme 

Bachelor in Computer Science (Cyber Security) (Honours) is offered by the Department of Computing, College of Computing & Informatics, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). This programme offers a computer science curriculum with an emphasis on cybersecurity knowledge tailored to securing modern net-centric computing environments. Students build a strong foundation in computer science, networking, and operating systems. 

This programme combines theoretical and practical cybersecurity training. Students learn to protect computer systems and networks while considering human factors in security. This approach helps them develop technical expertise and the skills to take on leadership roles in managing cybersecurity within organisations. Students can also gain expertise in areas such as cryptography, network security, secure programming, and ethical hacking. 

Beyond pursuing careers in computer science and cybersecurity-related fields, graduates of this programme are also well qualified to undertake research and further their studies at the Master’s and PhD levels at reputable institutions of higher learning, including UNITEN.
