About Programme
The Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering (Hons) programme is built on a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and computing. The curriculum covers key areas such as electrical circuits, electronics, digital systems, microprocessors, electromagnetic fields, electrical machines and drives, power systems, power electronics, and high voltage technology. Laboratory sessions support classroom learning by providing hands-on experience in electrical measurements, digital logic design, signal processing, microprocessors, electrical machines, and power electronics. Many courses include design components and make use of computer-aided engineering software for simulation and analysis, helping students develop practical and industry-relevant skills.
During the final year, you may choose technical electives according to your area of interest. The final year project courses provide opportunities for you to apply the engineering principles, experience of current technology as well as learning the methodology of research.
The programme consists of 138 credit hours of subjects, taught in 8 semesters. This Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering (Hons) programme can be completed in 4 years.
