About UNITEN Press

UNITEN Press is the university’s academic publishing platform, committed to producing and promoting high-quality scholarly publications. It supports the sharing of research outputs and intellectual contributions, enhancing UNITEN’s visibility and impact within the academic and professional communities.

UNITEN Press was initiated on 30 April 2020 by the College of Graduate Studies (COGS) and officially established through the UNITEN Board of Directors’ approval on 10 December 2020. It serves as a systematic publishing platform for UNITEN staff, with a key focus on transforming PhD and master’s theses into research books, contributing to the enhancement of UNITEN’s MyRA performance.

As a centralized hub for scholarly publishing, UNITEN Press is committed to showcasing UNITEN’s research and academic excellence to a wider audience. Its early objectives were to streamline publication efforts among researchers and provide a dedicated avenue for staff to publish research books and academic works. The press also aims to disseminate new knowledge and research findings—particularly in engineering, information technology, and business—through globally accessible channels.

In May 2025, the university officially finalized UNITEN’s new Organizational Structure. Under this new restructuring, the administration of UNITEN Press was placed under the governance of the Information Resource Centre (IRC).

UNITEN Press is currently in its foundational strengthening phase, focusing on building strong processes, expanding its publication ecosystem, and positioning itself as a reputable academic publisher.
