22 April 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) hosted an official visit from the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan, led by His Excellency (H.E.) Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia, at the National Energy Center (NEC), UNITEN, on 22 April 2026.

22 April 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) has further reinforced its strategic partnership with TNB Research Sdn Bhd (TNBR) through a new collaboration framework. The agreement was officially signed on 22 April 2026 at the National Energy Centre (NEC), UNITEN.

20 April 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) has once again solidified its position as a cornerstone of national sports development, serving as the official host for the Netball Super League (NSL) Clinic 2026. This marks the second consecutive year the university has been selected to facilitate this prestigious development programme, underscoring the organisers' confidence in UNITEN’s world-class sporting ecosystem.

19 April 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), in collaboration with Astro BizOne and Kelab Kilat Kebangsaan (KKK), successfully hosted an electrifying Campus Watch Party, featuring a live screening of the English Premier League (EPL) on 19 April 2026 at the COE Food Court, UNITEN. The highly anticipated matches against Everton faced Liverpool, while Arsenal went head-to-head with Manchester City. 

15 April 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), hosted its Majlis Mesra Raya UNITEN 2026 at Dewan Seri Sarjana, UNITEN Putrajaya Campus, bringing together approximately 500 staff members and retirees in celebration of Aidilfitri. The annual gathering aimed to strengthen engagement and foster a stronger sense of unity within the university community through a warm and festive occasion.

13 April 2026 - The National Energy Centre (NEC) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) hosted a high-level strategic session on 10 April 2026, highlighted by a dynamic podcast discussion with the Energy Industries Council (EIC).

4 March 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), through the UNITEN Zakat and Waqf Centre (TAZW), continues to champion education for the underprivileged by recording over RM50 million in zakat distributions from 2010 to 2025. Serving as an Assistant Amil for the Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), TAZW has also collected RM123 million in funds to provide alternative financial pathways

27 February 2026 - Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) recently concluded its participation in the APAIE 2026 Conference and Exhibition, held from February 23 to 27. Led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari, the delegation represented Malaysia under the Study Malaysia Pavilion.

22 February 2026 - The Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia, His Excellency Hassan Abdelsalam Omer, has officially enrolled as a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).
