BEM GAP : A Special Program Offered by UNITEN Putrajaya Campus
A special 2-year top-up engineering programme is a route to registration with the BEM as a Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering. BEM-GAP can be used as the pathway for the following purposes:
1. Registration as a Graduate Engineer
i. Local 3-Year Bachelor of Engineering Degree accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
ii. First cycle (Bachelor degrees) listed in FEANI (European Engineering Education Database-EEED) database with EUR-ACE label
iii. 3-year Bachelor of Engineering accredited by Engineering Council, UK
iv. 4-year engineering degrees from non-Washington signatories
v. Conversion of Engineering Technologist to Graduate Engineer
2. Change of Registered Engineering Branch (Graduate Engineer) to Electrical Engineering
i. Change of branch for registered Graduate Engineer
The provided courses, which include both basic and advanced courses in electrical power engineering, are comparable to the UNITEN Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering (Hons) programme.
The programme is offered in two teaching delivery modes:
(1) Mode 1: Weekdays physical classes from Monday to Friday during the day. Classes are conducted at UNITEN Putrajaya Campus.
(2) Mode 2: Weekend hybrid classes (Classes are online but assessments are physical, conducted at UNITEN Putrajaya Campus.)
Credit transfer is allowable to the maximum 60% (according to 3-year or 4-year engineering degree programme) of the total 60 credit hours (excluding Industrial Training)
