About Programme

UNITEN Business School's Diploma in Financial Technology programme is a future-focused 7-semester programme (2 years 3 months) at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation.

The programme develops a strong grounding in finance, accounting, investment, and management, while seamlessly integrating core digital competencies such as programming, data science, cybersecurity, and database systems. Students are also immersed in emerging FinTech domains including digital banking, blockchain, and digital currencies within the evolving financial ecosystem.

Alongside technical expertise, the programme shapes well-rounded graduates with capabilities in ethical practice, governance, business communication, entrepreneurship, and user experience design - strengthening both analytical thinking and professional readiness.

With structured industrial training embedded into the curriculum, students gain meaningful exposure to real-world FinTech environments, preparing them for careers in financial services and digital innovation, as well as progression into bachelor’s degree studies.

Programme Pathway

The Diploma in Financial Technology offers a direct pathway to selected Bachelor (Honours) programmes in Business and Economics at UBS.

A key advantage of the programme is its credit transfer opportunity, allowing eligible diploma graduates to receive exemptions for relevant bachelor’s degree subjects (subject to approval). This may reduce overall study duration and support faster progression towards completing a bachelor’s degree.
