Established in December 2016, the Institute of Energy Infrastructure (IEI) is a leading multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to advancing resilient, sustainable, and intelligent energy infrastructure for Malaysia and the broader region. In recognition of its research excellence, industry relevance, and societal impact, IEI was awarded the prestigious Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) status in Services by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in March 2024.
