Foundation in Accounting at UNITEN Business School is a pre-university programme specifically designed to provide students with a solid grounding in business and financial principles. This one-year intensive course serves as a direct pathway into our prestigious Bachelor in Accounting (Honours) or other business-related degree programmes.
This programme focuses on bridging the gap between secondary school and tertiary education by blending theoretical knowledge with practical analytical skills.
The comprehensive 50 credit-hour programme is designed to be completed over three trimesters. Throughout the programme, students will develop a fundamental understanding of accounting concepts, principles, and practices, alongside essential knowledge in business and economics. Emphasis is placed on strengthening analytical thinking, numerical competency, and problem-solving skills to support informed decision-making in various organisational contexts.
The Foundation in Accounting provides a direct progression into a range of Bachelor (Honours) programmes. Upon successful completion, students may advance to degrees in Accounting, Business Administration (Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Entrepreneurship & Venture Management), Business Economics, Economics (Energy), Finance, or International Business. This pathway offers flexibility to specialise according to individual interests and career goals.
