Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) is a full research programme where candidates are given unique opportunity to follow their interest in a specialised area of research (including major research areas of electrical, electronics, mechanical and civil engineering) for 3-7 years and make an important academic contribution to the knowledge of chosen research area.
Prospective candidates are future researchers / academicians in universities and / or research institutions, R&D Engineers, Engineering Specialists and Technopreneurs.
Program Structure:
The program can be completed within 3-7 years for full-time candidates and 4-7 years for part-time candidates. Candidates who enroll in this program are required to register for the following courses:
RM33,600 - for Malaysian students
RM36,600 - for International students
| 1 | A Master’s Degree from UNITEN or any Institutions of higher learning recognised by UNITEN; or |
| 2 | Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree & experience in the relevant field recognised by UNITEN; or |
| 3 | Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or working experience in the relevant fields must undergone appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the COGS Committee |
| 4 | For International Students: IELTS 5.0/ TOEFL 3.0/ MUET 3.5/ Linguaskill 154 |
| * | *Bachelor's in the domain with 1st class with honours or CGPA 3.67 & above. For this qualification, candidates must register for the Master Programme (By Research) & apply for conversion to PhD within 1 year of registration, subject to assessments & approval by the Senate. |
