About Programme 

The Bachelor in Software Engineering (Honours) programme, offered by the Department of Computing at the College of Computing & Informatics (CCI), features an innovative curriculum fully aligned with the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK). It equips students with both theoretical and practical foundations in computer science, preparing them to excel as professional software engineers.

Graduates are capable of designing, developing, and maintaining software across diverse environments, including standalone systems, web applications, mobile platforms, and cloud infrastructure. Articulation Pathway to the UK

This programme provides students with the opportunity to start their studies at UNITEN and continue their degree in the University of Sheffield, UK, with credit transfer of selected courses completed during Year 1 at UNITEN.

Programme Structure

Entry Requirements

STPM

Science Stream

Pass STPM (Science Stream) with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in:

  • Mathematics (Grade C)
  • Any 1 of the Science/ICT subject (Grade C)

Art Stream

Pass STPM (Art Stream) with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any 2 subjects

AND

  • Additional Mathematics (Grade C)
  • Mathematics (Grade C)
  • Any 1 of the Science/Technology/Engineering subject in SPM (Grade C)

Matriculation

Pass Matriculation inrelated field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and Grade C for :

  • Additional Mathematics / Mathematics SPM
  • Any 1 of the Science / Technology / Engineering subjects in SPM

Foundation

Pass Foundation in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and Grade C for :

  • Additional Mathematics / Mathematics SPM
  • Any 1 of the Science / Technology / Engineering subjects in SPM

Diploma

Pass Diploma in Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50

Note :Candidate with CGPA below than
2.50 but more that 2.00 may beadmitted subjected to athorough internal evaluation process

Other Diploma

Pass Any other Diploma in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and Grade C for :

  • Additional Mathematics / Mathematics SPM
  • Any 1 of the Science / Technology / Engineering subjects in SPM

A-LEVEL/ GCSE
