She serves as Sector Lead for Renewable Energy in the Malaysia Blue Economy Blueprint (MBEB), commissioned by the Ministry of Economy and coordinated by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, contributing expertise at the intersection of sustainable energy, resource systems, and blue economy development. She also continues her academic engagement as Honorary Professor at the Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Universiti Malaya.

Her broader leadership contributions include serving as Founding President of the Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA) upon its inception in 2019, reflecting her longstanding commitment to advancing research management and strengthening Malaysia’s research ecosystem. She is actively involved in capacity building to strengthen innovation ecosystems, including programmes on ideation and entrepreneurship, as well as initiatives aimed at professionalising research management in Malaysia.

She currently leads a Ministry of Higher Education-funded project on research performance assessment in Malaysia’s higher education institutions, through which her team has developed an impact assessment rubric to better evaluate research quality, outcomes, and societal contribution. She also serves on the International Science Council Forum on Research Assessment and Publishing Steering Group, contributing to international efforts on responsible research assessment and research publishing reform.
