Technical Advisory and Industry Capacity Building
INE supports utility-led nuclear initiatives and provides technical training on radiation fundamentals and nuclear power plant concepts for corporate engineering teams.
Curriculum and Human Capital Development
The institute contributes expertise to the development of nuclear engineering curricula and initiatives aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s future nuclear talent pipeline.
International Engagement
INE participates in technical meetings and working groups organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), including activities related to INPRO, INSEN, nuclear security and sustainable nuclear energy deployment.
Conference and Knowledge-Exchange Leadership
INE organises the International Nuclear Science, Technology and Engineering Conference, providing a platform for researchers, industry professionals and policymakers to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration.
Public Awareness and Leadership Development
INE develops future nuclear leaders through the Nuclear Leaders for Energy Transition programme. It also promotes public understanding of nuclear energy through media engagement, including the Apa Khabar Malaysia televised discussion, “Nuklear: Solusi Bekalan Tenaga Murah?”
Nurturing Global Champions
Demonstrating its commitment to global human capital development, INE shaped the academic integrity of the 2nd International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO 2025) through key Scientific Committee representation. Building on this momentum, an INE expert served as Team Leader for the Malaysian delegation at INSO 2026 in Saudi Arabia, guiding the national team to secure medals on the world stage.
